Monique is a paralegal at Testart Family Lawyers and is currently completing her Juris Doctor at Deakin University, with admission anticipated next year. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, majoring in Criminology and History, with a particular interest in World War II history.
Monique’s career in law follows a decade-long career in retail management and operations. While working in retail, she developed extensive experience in leadership, communication, problem-solving and managing challenging situations – skills that have provided a valuable foundation for her transition into the legal profession.
Her interest in the law began at a young age, and after starting her own family, Monique saw an opportunity to finally pursue that long-held ambition. The career change has allowed her to combine her professional experience with her passion for helping people navigate challenging and often complex situations.
Following admission, Monique intends to practise in family and relationship law. She has developed a strong interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution and is committed to helping clients achieve positive outcomes outside of litigation wherever possible.
Outside of work, Monique enjoys long-distance running and weight training – all in an attempt to keep up with her two young children.
